hi guys! so, last night i did this thing i do where i decide i'm going to pop into an event for an hour, tops, and then end up staying until they are practically flashing the lights off and on to get rid of us. in my defense. . . well. . . the seychelles garden party was just so much fun, and so filled populated with fantastic company, that i really couldn't tear myself away. i browsed some really beautiful vintage, and even more lovely lingerie (although i didn't buy a thing! [pats self on the back]) but mostly just chatted with
nicki,
mel,
claire, and
keiko. i also ran into an old friend i hadn't seen in years. which was a nice surprise. i finally dragged myself home at 10 or so, stopped off at the bodega to get some ramen, and chowed down with my old pal hulu until hitting the hay near midnight.
today!

skirt: j crew
shoes: madewell

pretty straight forward. i have a meeting after work so i didn't want to look too nuts, and i allowed myself to do that thing where i lay in bed and make up an outfit in my head to allow myself an extra few minutes of sleep. this sometimes ends in disaster, but i think today it went okay.
i took all my photos in about 2 minutes this morning before zipping out the door and apparently when i'm in a picture-hurry i do an i-have-to-pee dance with my feet.

have a lovely thursday, everyone! tomorrow is only a day away.

ReplyDeleteThose shoes are stellar without the hearts, but with 'em? Perfection.
ReplyDeleteI read about the event, and I'm glad you were able to go! xo

Such fun! And the I-have-to-pee dance is adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteOMIGOSH I LOVE THIS...Gifs are the best they are so magical!
ReplyDeleteYou wear such a bold combination of colors; it's SO lovely! I wish I could sport such an outfit confidently, like you; frankly I'd be too concerned about what people might think of all the color I'm wearing. It's something I have to unlearn. :< But anyway, I love those hearts on your shoes too! What a cute way to spiffy up a pair of shoes :)
ReplyDeletehahah love the peedance :DD great colours!
ReplyDeleteLove the little photo ditty thing. So cool. And I love the stripes.
ReplyDeleteThat blogger mishapness this past week has deleted my comments on the post I had the other day, so I'm not sure if you saw my response! I didn't realize your mom went to SIU for some reason! I just may contact her! Did you know that she and my dad worked together? Also, I'm very sorry {but not so sorry} that my blog makes your uterus ache. It makes me happy. But I will do as much as I can to write about all of the awful parts of parenthood sometimes, too. :)
I love that your idea of toning it down still involves zany, cute colour blocking and shoes adorned with sparkly hearts. very lovely outfit!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour blocking and those shoes are adorable! I like the decor in your home too! Retro!
